A comedone extractor, also known as a blackhead remover, is a great tool to help fight annoying blackheads and whiteheads.
A comedone extractor is usually used by a dermatologist but a lot of people like to use a more “do-it-yourself” approach. It’s nice because you only have to pay one time, and you’ve got the tools for life. No need to keep going to the dermatologist and paying for every single visit.
This blackhead tool isn’t hard to use at all. As long as you can follow simple directions you can easily get the job done in the comfort of your own home.
Of course you’ll want to follow all the directions that come with your product, but the basic process goes as follows:
- Steam your face or take a hot shower to open up your pores.
- Wash your hands and sanitize the comedone extractor with some rubbing alcohol.
- Center the blemish inside the loop of the blackhead remover and press on it until all the junk comes out.
- After you’re all done, wipe down the tool with alcohol again and also apply some rubbing alcohol or a nice antiseptic cream (like the one made by Derma E) to your face to avoid any infections.
That wasn’t too complicated, now was it? That’s just a broad overview so just be sure to be careful and follow directions closely when using a comedone extractor.
